JJSEA Science Fair, Dec 3: This year's John Jay Science and Engineering Academy (JJSEA) Science & Engineering Fair on Saturday, Dec 3, starting at 9 am is being rebranded as an JJSEA Academic Research Symposium. The symposium will include:
- Over 200 students presenting Science & Engineering Projects for a chance to win awards and a place on our esteemed Academic Research team.
- History Fair projects from 10th-12th graders
- Presentations from our 9th grade Project-based Learning teams
- Exhibits from our other Academic Research areas
We are looking for Post volunteers to help serve as judges in the event. In the new format volunteers will:
- Students in this competition will create a board as they did in the past.
- They will then use that Board to give a 5-7 minute presentation to a panel of judges.
- The judges will then have 5-7 minutes to ask the student questions about their project and give written feedback.
- Once all of the students in that group have presented to the judges, the judges will rank the projects/presentations: 1st place-honorable mention.
To volunteer register for the JJSF registration. Once you register with the Post you will be sent a 2nd link to register and pick your project categories.
